• Our Large Pickling Shallots come in 4kg nets (3x4kg), with each shallot averaging 45mm in diameter. Please note, grading is not an exact science and some shallots will be bigger than this.
• A sweet alternative to traditional pickled onions.
• Shallots available all year round.
• These shallots typically possess a more consistent and uniform appearance. They may resemble a small, elongated onion or take on a rounder shape, with the variation primarily dictated by the specific shallot variety.

They cannot be planted. Our home-grown Pickling Shallots have become a firm customer favourite over the years due to their sweet, soft flavour. They made wonderful pickles for those looking for something a little sweeter, with less of a twang. Compared to our classic Pickling Onions, our shallots a milder in flavour, pinker in colour, and more oval in shape. We grade our Pickling Shallots to 3 different sizes to meet everyones preferences. Please note, there is no maximum size limit for our large shallots, and some can be quite large
