Product Description
The Wade Dignity mug from Nottingham Rehab Supplies is ideal for people who find it difficult to drink from standard cups or mugs. It can help if you have frail hands, weak wrists, tremors, disabilities affecting movement or medical conditions such as arthritis that can affect your ability to grip. The mug has been especially designed for elderly people with dementia, based on research undertaken by Stirling University's Dementia Services Development Centre and it will help a person to drink independently for longer.
The mug is ceramic, made from vitrified earthenware with added alumina for extra strength and supplied in white. It is discreetly designed to blend in to the look of standard ceramic tableware and is much more attractive and dignifying to use than alternative plastic beakers. The mug has a large handle on either side, both of which are big enough to slip several fingers through which makes the mug easy to hold. You are less likely to spill liquid because you can hold the mug securely using both hands rather than just one. The mug has a capacity of up to 250 ml and weighs 320 g. It can be used for hot or cold drinks and is suitable for use in dishwashers, microwaves and freezers. It is completely lead free.
