Theres no specific genus or family for wildflowers, theyre any flower that grows on its own in the wild so theres no predicting exactly what wildflower honey will look or taste like. But we guarantee that our Wildflower honey is always full of nature taste and smell!
As with most of our other types of honey, there are natural antioxidants and anti-inflammatories in Wildflower honey, making it an effective way to naturally boost the bodys immune system, fight infections that cause colds, soothe sore throats, help with digestion and fight the damage done by the free radicals that cause many diseases.
And also as with other types of our honey, those health benefits come with an asterisk: theyre only present in raw wildflower honey. If the honey has been pasteurized and gone through ultra-filtration (as normally the mass honey producers do to improve the products colour and make it less likely to crystallize), most of the benefits are lost.
One of the biggest causes of seasonal allergies is pollen from wildflowers. And studies, including one published in the International Archives of Allergy and Immunology, have found that eating even small amounts of wildflower honey can help limit allergic reactions caused by pollen from flowers native.
Like all of our honey, Wild flower Raw honey is collected with love from our lovely bees and carefully harvested by hand from the hives of Bulgarian native meadows and forests, far away from pollution and pesticides. Unpasteurised, unheated, unfiltered, single origin.
BE AWARE:
Natural honey crystallizes within a few months of collection, depending on the floral variety. It should be noted that artificially added sugar no longer crystallizes. If you prefer fluid honey, put this jar in a bowl of water (40C/104F) until it becomes fluid again.
As with every honey variety we sell: Nothing is added, nothing is taken away. What you get is a wholesome, raw, unheated honey.
