Product description

1920: Traou Mad in Breton means "Choses Bonnes" (good stuff). It is the name of a cookie invented by Alexis Le Vilain, a baker from Pont-Aven. 1950: A few decades later, his daughter Marguerite, thanks to the great success of the famous Palet de Pont-Aven, founded a company in Pont-Aven. Some manufacturing processes are automated, but Pont-Aven's famous galettes are still completely handmade using traditional recipes. 1980: art combines with the biscuits! Pont-Aven, the city of painters, attracts many artists to this picturesque Breton town. Since then, works by Paul Gauguin - 'La Ronde des petites Bretonnes' (dancing Breton girls), - have adorned the biscuit tins by Traou Mad. Today, the company Traou Mad stands for unique biscuits that have been made manually with local products for 100 years: the eggs come from free-range chickens from Finistre, the French wheat is ground in a mill directly in Pont-Aven and the butter comes from Brittany.
