Approximately 13 sheets in each pack. - Prepare and Use: No pre-cooking required before useRecipe SuggestionTraditional LasagneServes 4-69-12 sheets lasagne2 Tablespoon Parmesan Cheese, gratedMeat Sauce1 onion, finely chopped1 carrot, finely chopped1 stick of celery, finely chopped2 gloves of garlic, peeled and crushed1 tablespoon olive oil50g smoked streaky bacon, chopped450g lean minced beef150ml red wine4 tablespoons tomato pure400g canned, chopped tomatoes1 bay leaf1 teaspoon dried marjoramSaltFreshly ground black pepperBchamel Sauce1 bay leaf1 small onion, halved500ml milk50g butter50g plain flourGrated nutmegSaltFreshly ground black pepperFry onion, carrot celery and garlic in oil until the onion softensAdd the bacon and mince and cook until brownedStir in the remaining meat sauce ingredients, bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 25-30 minutesMeanwhile heat the bay leaf, onion and milk together to just below simmering point. Leave to infuse off the heat for a few minutes. Strain.Melt the butter, add the flour and stirring well after each addition.Stirring continuously, bring the sauce to the boil, then simmer for 1-2 minutes until it has thickened. Add the nutmeg and seasoning to taste.Spoon a layer of meat sauce, then bchamel sauce, then lasagne.Repeat this process covering the lasagne with a final layer of bchamel sauce.Sprinkle with parmesan cheese then bake at 180C or gas mark 4 for 30 - 35 minutes or until golden brown and bubbling.Serve with crusty bread and a crisp green saladPreparationWash hands, all surfaces and utensils after touching raw meat.
