• The GivMohr Sling is an effective positioning device for the flaccid arm. Research has proven that a properly fitted GivMohr Sling is the best appliance for reducing shoulder subluxation and improving gait. The GivMohr Sling is suitable for individuals with diagnoses including: Stroke, ALS, Brain Injury, Brachial Plexus Injury, Post Polio Syndrome, Transverse Myelitis, Central Cord Syndrome and other neurological conditions.
• Benefits of the GivMohr Sling: reduces shoulder subluxation, reduces shoulder pain, supports the arm in a functional position, increases balance, improves gait, protects the involved arm, allows controlled arm swing, improves activities of daily living, easy application by user.
• TO INSURE PROPER FITTING OF THE GIVMOHR SLING, initial fitting should be done by a Physical or Occupational Therapist (PT or OT). Once fitted by a therapist with 4-Tab Buckle secured, no further adjustment should be needed.
• PROPER FIT CHECKLIST: After donning, check the following in standing: Shoulder subluxation is reduced, Shoulder in neutral rotation, 4-Tab optimally positioned and locked, Axillary pad in a comfortable position, Elbow in less than 30 degrees of flexion, Elbow strap positioned 1" below elbow and horizontal, Wrist cross centered over wrist, Hand piece position accommodates contour of hand, Blue Stripe against body.

The innovative GivMohr Sling, designed by an Occupational Therapist (OT) and a Physical Therapist (PT), is based on Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) principles and is ideal for people who are up and walking after a stroke or other neurological injury. The GivMohr Sling can be worn to support either the left or right shoulder and arm by placing the uninvolved arm through the shoulder strap.
