DON'T OVER-COOK BEIWEI STICKY WAXY CORN

Did you know that boiling or over-cooking the corn turns the natural sugars to starch, making the corn chewy, gummy, and worst of all, FLAVORLESS! Steaming allows these sugars to stay intact. Follow these steps below to ensure perfectly steamed corn:

1. Peel back the outer packaging of the corn, but keep it in the vacuum-sealed bag.

2.Put a small amount of water in the bottom of a large pan (about 2 inches up the side of the pan from the bottom). DO NOT COVER THE CORN WITH WATER!

3.Turn the heat to high and bring it to a rolling boil.

4.Place the corn in the pan. You can steam as much corn as you need, as long as you can still put a lid on top.

5.Cover with a lid. Time about 5 minutes, depending on the kernel size. You do not have to wait for it to come back to a boil. Start the timer as soon as you put the lid on.

6.Remove and enjoy!

Remember:

DO NOT cover the corn with water.

DO NOT steam longer than 15 minutes.
