Oatmeal of Alford Gluten Free Organic Oats are grown organically in the sun-drenched fields of Aberdeenshire. Earlier this year the Montgarrie Mill, where Oatmeal of Alford was kiln-dried and milled, was largely destroyed by fire. However, the kiln somehow survived. It is the kiln-drying that gives these oats their fantastic, characteristicly nutty flavour that so many love. The Oat Flakes are larger than previously, due to the different milling process, but the flavour, the gluten free status and organic status is unchanged. All production from field to packing is done using dedicated equipment in a gluten-free environment and each batch is tested to <5ppm gluten. Free of the 14 main allergens. All wholegrain.
